Ten years of raising funds and awareness for injured military heroes has given John Greenway, Mission2Alpha founder, a unique perspective on the power of hope, healing, and compassion. Having dealt with military heroes suffering from TBI, PTSD, and other injuries he has seen the power of these three incredible words and how they can bring people from the dark days of no hope to a future filled with hope and inspiration.
In 2007 after watching his nephew graduate from Marine boot camp at MCRD, John decided to combine his skills and his passion for cycling to create a non-profit which raises funds for injured military members. John thought he was creating a charity. What he discovered was he had begun a ten year long life journey which would result in millions of dollars raised for the needs of injured military heroes. This journey has taken him from coast to coast where he has spoken with and in front of countless injured heroes, members of the military leadership, and Gold Star parents, just to name a few. These unique experiences have taught John the value and power of Hope, purpose, and healing.
The message of giving back and the value it brings to life touches and inspires those who feel the passion of his message.
John is an avid cyclist who has completed five endurance cycling events from Scottsdale to San Diego Camp Pendleton), four marathons, triathlons, and has completed three full IronMan competitions. Each of these athletic endeavors have been inspired by the military heroes those past and present) who have inspired John to continue to raise funds today.
In the last ten years, John has used his experience to create two non-profits which serve the needs of injured military and now first responder heroes. Since the inception of his first non-profit in 2008, John has helped to raise more than 7 million dollars for the needs of injured heroes.
